Not the most liked bird but I find them quite interesting.

Not the most interesting composition either. Screaming out for it to be left of centre. Pity coz I like the perch and bg and the bird looks pretty well detailed.

Very photogenic birds with the iridescent colouring ... not seen any around here for a while and apparently (RSPB Garden Birdwatch 2015) have reduced in numbers by around 80% since 1979!
Nice capture but maybe just a bit too central in the frame?

Mike as above comments and also Im getting a halo around some of the bird possibly from over sharpening, try a re-crop and pull back the sharpening a little and a little curves adjustment to make it stand out a bit.

Thanks for the comments, will try a slightly different crop.

There is absolutely no halo around the original though.
