Starlings

Beautiful colours on these, just never get to see any nearby to me :(
 
These are cracking shots.
I've always liked starlings, at first sight they appear dull but as your images show,their plumage is very attractive.
They also have the ability to mimic sounds, can be quite amusing at times.
 
#1 is excellent - great pose and really showing off the colours. #2 'Go ahead, punk. Make my day!' #3 'Let me just think about this'. #4 'Ah, I didn't mean it that way....'.
They're a real pain in my garden - demolishing the suet balls, lot's of drama, scaring everything else away, but when they catch the light you just have to admire them.
