Stonechats

We get them in the reeds at a local loch, gorgeous little things. I will have to stalk them out this year.

Well caught Russ its better than I have managed to date. LOL
they are always out of range of a 300 lens for me.
maybe I need to start using my 7d again for the extra range. :)

- I like the 7D in conjunction with a 300mm lens for my handheld shots. It gives me enough reach for my walkabout style of photography, Andy.

I really like these birds and you've caught them well,as mentioned above, lovely background colouring.
