Storm off Aberystwyth

I thought it might be a rainbow day yesterday. This is a big hail shower off Aberystwyth; you could see the sea "boiling" under the onslaught of the hail. Found it difficult to sharpen this in Lightroom but Topaz denoise did a good job on it.

I like that. Simple and effective and without the usual ugly seascape foreground clutter. I think maybe just a bit more contrast though and it's there.

And I love that sky. Do not even think of cropping it.

I didn't want to go over the top on the contrast. I'll try a bit more of a boost on another version, though.

I wouldn't as such. Shadow and mid tones look about right - in the tone curve I might lift up the curve around the 3/4 point to add a little bit of brightness - and fix the 1/4 and 1/2 points where they are.

I live in mid tones though if there any pure whites it's a no no from me and in a scene like this I wouldn't expect nor wish to see 100% blacks either.

Increase whites in LR. Not much mind. Maybe a slight increase in brightness. It'll achieve the same thing.
