I have made a VERY late New Resolution to try and actually use my camera equipment. Had a couple of hours to myself today (with dog) so took a trip over to Stowe Gardens as the weather was perfect.

Any constructive criticism / help would be much appreciated.

Cool take, Dave, I love the fence…
but I see that the DR does not reflect the perfect weather.

I think that is down to me just getting used to DXO. I normally use C1 which is great at pulling back the blown highlights. DXO does other things I like but I haven't quite got the hang of sorting the highlights out. I also converted to black and which using Silver efex so that may also have been an issue

I personally don't have to and have
no need to use anything but C1!
 
This is the C1 version. Used C1 to create the TIFF file then processed through Silver Efex - have to say the is subtle but the dynamic range is better
