Strange looking Dragonfly !!

I was going to somewhere I know there is an abundance of dragonflies, but took the wrong turning
and went to the local nature reserve instead, spent the entire afternoon watching 4 of these gorgeous birds flying round the lakes
and settling close to the hide I was in to fish

It is. little devils always show up when you're not expecting it, seems these have been around for a while now, I reckon possible this
years brood.
Going back with a friend later in the week so fingers crossed

Thanks, I see them most times I go to the reserve but normally flying past, keep trying it will

Great place to waste loads of time for all sorts of wildlife, often see roe deer there
