This lens has a nice rendering quality to it. It excells at smoothing out the light. Shot on a D810 in RAW and imported into Photos on OSx. Both shot on the Nikon 58mm at f/1.4. Top picture unedited. Bottom picture edited to bring out the shadows a bit more.

It really handles harsh light well.
