No
Daft wasp.

One of the parasitic, or ichneumons, this daft one had landed on my back and when I walked into the kitchen it flew off and landed on a bit of undecorated section near the door in the wall.

Where it instantly found a hole and has gone and perched itself in it!

Stupid thing will have to come out on its own so I can shoo it outside cos I can't get it out!

You have a live home studio subject.

It's managed to find a way outside now, it revealed itself and blocked the hole with my finger. Had nowhere to go except out of the door!

Here is the sequence of it's emergence before the escape...

The last one (completely out of focus cos I couldn't adjust the lens quick enough) shows it to probably be a mason wasp, perhaps Ancistrocerus trifasciatus.

Good to get it emerging - I think I would of been tempted to leave it a while.

Problem with leaving it, is it's not in its natural habitat (indoors) and would have to go out anyway at some stage. At least now it's off looking for a proper hole in a proper place... :)
