Summer flowers

Still working my way through June 2015. Here are some flowers, captured hand-held with my 70D and 55-250 STM and processed with DXO Optics Pro, Silkypix and Lightroom.

Nice set Nick, my favourite being the last one of the Nigella. DOF is spot on and really isolates the flower head from the background.

Thanks Pete. As you can imagine from my avatar, Nigella is one of my favourite flowers, and not just the flowers, but the seed pods too.

Thanks Charles. Yes, bugs soon hopefully. But that said, I'm at least as keen on flowers, and actually I think, a bit more so (although of course they don't seem to be as popular as bugs by and large).

Thanks. The first one is a foxglove. Or, as my wife just put it when I asked her to check I had it right (I am very bad at identifying things), "it is an oversaturated foxglove. Definitely oversaturated. We don't have anything that colour in our garden". She is right of course.
