Took a wee trip to my favourite lighthouse up in Aberdeenshire last Wednesday. The forecast was promising. Light wise the trip certainly delivered but the waves didn't break around the lighthouse which was a shame.
It must be due to the tides as often they do and it's also not home to dozens of birds. I avoided long exposures so the birds wouldn't blur on the lighthouse. It was a good chance to try out my new 70-200 F2.8 VR2 E that I got and I have to say I am very impressed. I decided to compose the shots with the lighthouse centered in the frame.

The sky was epic. This is my 5th time here and never have I caught such an epic sky at sunset.

The pastel tones in the evening were hard to resist.
