This family looked fantastic in the late afternoon light on a local lake. I was annoyed that the nearer swan was a little out of focus, but as I think the one further back is more interesting, I felt it didn't spoil the photo too badly but led the eye backwards - I don't know if this was just wishful thinking!

Emma, to start with I would just try to give each crop a little more space ..... they are too tightly cropped for me .. they are not really "close up" shoots and IMHO more background would help in their appreciation

Thanks for the feedback Bill - I can see what you mean. I think I was just trying to improve the composition a bit as there were other cygnets/foliage that I thought spoiled the shots.
