Wild Swans! …post them in this communal thread.

Back again for another take with the Fuji S5 Pro this time to see how it coped with the dynamic range. The processing is also different as this time processed and sharpened in Lightroom.

Fine, good night!
Hi Kodiak
I've sent a zipped copy of one of the photos to your bureau address, so hopefully it will reach you! I didn't make clear last night that I was on my laptop at the time and the photos were on my desktop, so I didn't have to time to start the desktop and send the file.

Many thanks, Peter

This having been a fine weather day,
these girls went for a swim as others
go for a walk…

SUDDENLY… A STAMPEDE!

off in a hurry… here the front of the platoon…

Wick river this afternoon

You got a right PoV in the last two, Andrew!
Wouldn't it have been possible to capture the
first five from a similar PoV?

WooHoo I almost got one right!
Cheers dude,
In my defense, no, it wasn't possible. I had to use 4 locations and the first 5 were shooting down from a built up stone walled part of the river had I gone to the other side my lens would be too short and the wall would be the background, I might have lost focus too.
Is the more orange billed one the M or F?

Most of the time, with birds, colours are a male attribute.
For swans, the bright orange bill and a bigger bump are

for the males.

(y) I should have guessed the scruffy, dirty looking one was a female :)

Maybe female but surely a juvenile …
as males look the same at that age!

Nice to see the Cygnets around now :)

Lovely family. Is the mother holding something in her bill?

Here, two swans and a bad frame…select one and frame it well

good everything here but …
how much rain do you need to show for us to understand it
was raining like hell? 5/6 of that frame could be cropped out
and a better frame will still tell the story.

Thanks for the feedback :) I will make some adjustments!

The mother was taking one of the empty egg shells to the water.

I thought I would contribute here. I am not a 'birder' and these are not new. I like to think I could do better now :p
