Tabby time

Nice pic...Looks very sharp. Did you focus and recompose to get the sharpness or did you frame the pic first in the viewfinder and then picked the focus point closest to the eye.
 
Used the joystick/thumb controller on the back of the 1D to move the focus point

Thanks for the info...I tried to take a few pic of a cat recently and that's what I did also...I had to be quick with the selection as the cat I was taking picture of kept moving a lot.

I tend to keep my camera on servo focus when taking puddy tat photos of the more fidgity ones :D
