Taking photos of bikes without reflections

My brother in law has asked me to take some photos of his bike, but a quick snap today , and I cant get anything without reflections. I am not very good, but would like to have a bash at this for him. would somone please give me some simple advice? many thanks

I put these in just to see what I mean. not so much to say they are not brill, as I am not very good.

For the paintwork I would use a polariser.
Not much you can do about the chrome apart from making sure you are not in shot.

Nice paint job!

Have you thought about a white light tent, screen or sheet to cut out the hot spots of the sun.

Keeping yourself out of the chrome reflections will be more of a challenge, although not impossible.

yes I managed to keep put of chrome on some, not on most. cheers.
