Tawny Owls

I have several cameras in Owl boxes - this is a Slow motion video of a male Tawny Owl bringing in a frog to the female - she has been sitting on 3 eggs for the last 30 days and has been leaving the nest to feed but last night he brought the frog into the nest so it is likely that the firt egg has hatched.

The Male Tawny took a frog and at least a couple of mice to the Female Tawny Owl last night which made me think one of the eggs had hatched but she left the box at 05:21 this morning for a short time revealing that there are still 3 eggs and you can see a mouse next to them in a longer video here.

Great footage Mike, she probably left to empty herself after that lot, she certainly won't go hungry, there are plenty of frogs about as well as rodents.

The Tawny Owl bringing in 2 frogs - the first visit is only 6 seconds so I have slowed it down to 1/4 speed - on his second visit he actually comes into the nest and stays for a short time this is pretty rare. - I have combined the two videos for comparison.
