Mucking about in the shedio today and cut these from the garden as they're dying off.

Not sure if I prefer the mono or colour. These shots are different apertures.

Lencarta smartflash 2 front left & front right with 100cm Bowens softboxes, Canon 6D & 100mm macro.

I like the colour version, except it just needs centring slight right... IMHO. I can see you centred the stem at the base of picture, but bw look better balanced in frame. I really like the shots though. [emoji106]
 
Nice shot both work Terry but the subtle colours of the colour win for me

Thank you all.

Now I have the lighting set up I may be boring you all with things photographed from the garden today.
 
I prefer the first. It is partly the composition (centred nicely), but more so I think because it seems sharper, making the complicated geometry of the subject stand out, which I think works really well for that particular (very "geometrical") subject. It being monochrome also focuses my viewing on the geometry. Very appealing to my eye.
