Yes like a lot of "tourist" sites everywhere is impressive in China. You could spend a year there and still not see everything. We went to a theatre one evening and even that amazed us.

I thought this was funny while watching
Sue "er indoors" was sitting in the isle on a step to get a better vew. She had a tap on her shoulder and turned around to find she was blocking the Emperors path to the stage with his wife and all his entourage with the whole audience looking on.

The jade factory was amazing ( seen behind glass showcase)

made out of one lump of rare pink jade
