So yesterday I had a drama where Lightroom wouldn't run because Adobe's servers couldn't be contacted....
LR is still my preferred choice for tethering but I need a backup. It needs to tether a D800 to a MacBook running High Sierra and for obvious reasons I want something I can buy outright which doesn't need to phone home to work. Cheaper = better because it's a backup but like all backups if I need it I need it so it has to work. For clarity - by tethering I mean I take a snap and it trundles down a USB cable to the laptop where it appears in some sort of browser where clients can view it.
Nikon Camera Control Pro doesn't appear to be available (and their s/w was always awful). C1 is spendy for a backup. Breeze doesn't seem to like Macs.
What are my options?
