I thought for a second it was going to be the Trotternish ridge tree, or perhaps the buttermere tree...but not its that "that" tree.

The grad has affected the top of the tree which looks really noticeable to me.

Other than that I love the contrasty colours.

This basically. It's a really nice pic just spoiled a little by use of a grad, whether a filter or in software

I agree with the comments above - this is one situation where a software merge would definitely be preferable to a heavy grad in camera.

it might be possible to do some more work on the file to bring some lifre back into the leaves. It would be worth it!

The shot is very nice, really well arranged and well done on making something out of conditions others would have ignored.

The brightest part of the scene is that blotch in the middle so unfortunately a grad has not helped, just expose for the highlights and/or blend.

Great image and even though i'm not that good with landscape the grad thing is the first thing I saw. Then again thats because we all know what were looking at. Joe blogg's won't have a scoobies !!
