Reading the comments they say the release date was 10/10, maybe the rumor sites hamster's been on holiday.
 
After some dithering over the decision an A7Riii arrived this morning (bought off this forum). I’m just waiting on 24-105 f4 and 70-200 f4 lenses arriving from WEX before I can go and have a play. WEX’s cyber Monday discounts made the lenses cheaper than both grey and second hand.

I’ve decided to not get a long lens yet (there is really only the 100-400 option) as I’m going to see if I can manage wildlife using just 200mm max. I know it goes against most thoughts of wildlife lens selection but I’m going to see if I can do without a 300mm/400mm lens. I’m sure with some different thinking and selection of subjects it could be possible.

A quick question can anyone recommend a good screen protector? That’s a big screen on the back that I’m sure I will scratch at some point.

Sorry another question any L bracket recommendations? My go to ones have been camera specific L brackets from Sunwayfoto for several years now but I thought I should if there are any recommendations.

See about 10 pages back, the afunta one off Amazon is fine Rob. Enjoy, I’ve been really impressed with mine. Using in low light last night and the AF didn’t miss a beat plus the files are superb.

I saw that one on amazon. I like the idea of extending the grip for the little finger but I’m wondering if it adds too much bulk. How do you get on with it?

I like the additional depth and Don't notice the weight at all. A nicely made bracket.
 
Frustratingly the only part of my A7III bundle so far to arrive has been the LA-EA3 :(

I hope the body gets here before the lenses otherwise it will be torture waiting for it surrounded by lenses ha

Serves me right for ordering from multiple places!!

To me this looks like an exercise in keeping everyone happy and making sure that everyone gets an award for something even if in doing so some omissions and contradictory results are needed in the various categories. All in all it's not worth the screen time, IMO, but if you want to read it, it's there.

Spoiler... the A7III gets the best product of the year award and the 24mm f1.4 is the best prime lens.

Shutter speed of 1/200 will show the shutter in the shot. Max sync speed is 1/160. But i will give the manual mode ago. Thanks.

The A73 is listed as 1/250 sync speed? But I have found that’s not quite right, 1/200 is correct imo.
 
Does anyone have any good recommendations for a wireless trigger for the A7iii??
