We have showers too :D You don' gotta water blast your ass if you're wiping proper

It’s impossible to have a fully clean ass without a liquid intervention. Trust me, I’ve tried.

No dice, white man. Next you’ll be telling me bidets are for your feet! O_O

You don't shower up your ass? I mean, I shower daily, and give that area a good scrubbing

... tonight could get weirder than last night

So on the Sigma 35 1.2 at 100p shooting at an aperture of 1.2 produces flickering in video footage in any light at all. It's not visible when being played back at 25p but it's definitely there in the source footage. I noticed this also on a YouTube review and messaged the guy saying mine exhibited the Same issues.

It's easy enough worked around but I would like to know why it's happening.

Does anyone else here have faster glass than f/1.4 and can check shooting 100p footage wide open to see if they get a flickering effect?

1.45 ish in shows the effect I'm talking about.

Watching that video has confirmed to me that I don't need the 35/1.2, more that I want it and that the 35/1.8 would be a lot more useful (travelling).

And yes, I still have my 85/1.2 that I can test. What are the exact settings you are using in video?

Shoot at 100p at f/1.2 and play back the file on your computer screen.

I've messaged these guys to see if their lens exhibits the same issue at 100p

Try it outdoors preferably Raymond to eliminate any issues with artificial light

Also make sure your shutter speed is at least 1/200th

100p as in 100fps, in 1080p?

Could you tell me the full setting, I don't shoot video so don't want to do something completely different.

NTSC, Pal, in manal etc etc etc

Yep, doesnt matter about picture profiles etc as I tried it with and without with the same issue

File format XAVCS HD
Record setting 100p 100m
Shutter speed at least 1/200th (outdoors ideally) and aperture f/1.2
Shoot in PAL, not sure it matters though! Just dial in the manual settings to expose properly outside
Play it back on any screen other than the camera, laptop / desktop etc

Few shots with the canon 135mm about 10 minutes before a thunderstorm hit.

these are very beautiful.
but there is an amount of pop/contrast missing in the background from the lavenders. I was expecting a bit more punchy lavender colour in the background which would make these shots amazing IMO.

I know you didn't ask for critique but felt a bit of processing add a lot to these so just mentioned it :)

thanks for the feedback. when we arrived the first thing we noticed was that there wasn't much colour going on. they have now started to harvest the lavender so i think ive missed the peak period. i'll certainly give the edit another go though.

unedited RAW from the 105. Excellent CA control.

Think there are about 3 of them in the classifieds now! Lots of 35mm 2.8's too - guess people are wanting the 1.8 now!

It's really annoying - I'm actually tempted because I liked the optical qualities of the lens, but hated the AF so much.

NO. Must not weaken!

I'd also rather have another Sammy 1.4

You know you want it :D
I'll even thrown in a protective filter ;)

@Happy Grumpz

Which adapter do you use for the Canon 100 L ?
