I was joking about the LCD screenRendering is basically the same from what I have seen.
LCD screen isn't any more accurate the live view.
What made you swap if you already had the Batis?I swapped my Batis 85 out for the FE85 because I didn't use the OIS & never even looked at the OLED display in the whole time I had it......
I bought it before the FE was released btw,

Hi,
Hope you're all well. Nice to see some new faces knocking about in here.
Quick question. Just bought a used samyang 24mm 2.8 for a bit of a walk about. Just tested it and at 2.8 on AF-S its unbelievably soft after AF confirmation beep. In AF-C it looks decent.
Any thoughts on whether this is normal for this lens or does it need to go back?
Lol, that's what you get for beating me to it!Hi,

Cheers BobThat last one is a belter.
Such great tones, and amazing detail.
That 24-105 is a great lens.
Cheers LeeI love the last photo looking inside the boat, such fine resolution and clarity to the blinds and wooden frames. So sharp it cuts my eyes.
There's an A7III in the classifieds for £1,150. That seems to be a very tempting price but maybe I'm wrong? I'd be tempted myself if my A7 wasn't doing just about everything I need*
Anyway, if that's the bargain I think it is maybe someone should buy it before I'm way too tempted
*The only photography I've done today is document copying.
I've copied quite a few old pictures and they come out well enough to distribute amongst family etc. These were copied using a Panasonic camera.
This is a crop from the above. It looks much better on my screen and in print than here.
One last one.
And no, none of these are me.
Very nice indeed, I think if you take some time with it then they are fine and your ones have come out well.
Considering what the originals look like they're fine and now they have a new life on phones, tablets and PC's throughout the family. And some are printed and in new albums or even framed
That's why you should buy the 16-35GM in salesJust can't decide between the Tamron 17-28 and the Sigma 14-24
Yeah but I can get a brand new one for £1469 plus I don't have £1469 or £1410 LOLThat's why you should buy the 16-35GM in sales

Sony FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM Full Frame E-Mount Lens (SEL1635GM)

I think the Tamron and Sigma would also be better on a gimbal than the SonyAh fair enough
Didn't check the grey prices tbh.
I actually think the 16-35mm is a better range than both.
Unless you need that f2.8 I'd suggest the 16-35mm f4.
I think the Tamron and Sigma would also be better on a gimbal than the Sony
Because the Sony extends out more when zooming I think? How so?
Sigma is a fair bit heavier than both Sony and tamron.
From that point of view perhaps tamron is the best?

I really want an all rounder to try some stuff i've never done. Video and astro to start and possibly some property interiors.Ah yes they do that.
Apparently a 24mm f1.4 is the best lens the astro according to these guysI really want an all rounder to try some stuff i've never done. Video and astro to start and possibly some property interiors.
Also considered the Sony 20mm f/1.8 then you start thinking for a bit more I can get the 24mm f/1.4 but it's probably not wide enough.
Just had a quick read, thanks for the link and for opening that can of wormsApparently a 24mm f1.4 is the best lens the astro according to these guys
How to Pick a Lens for Milky Way Photography
The lens is the most important factor in the image quality of a landscape astrophoto. We outline all the most important traits of a great astrophotography lens in this complete guide.www.lonelyspeck.com
They do specialise quite heavily in astrophotography so might be worth a read.

I guess it was only a matter of time until Adobe jumped on this bandwagon too.
It does that automatically too. Alters the light in the rest of the image depending on the sky you use...I think I could probably replace a sky but getting the picture to look right must surely take more than dropping a new sky in and is very probably beyond my processing levels
