I was there early — just to make sure of everything under my control —
at a client. I met him on his way to his restaurant where the shoot was
planned and he decided to invite me for breakfast, out on the veranda.

We went over the program of the session and, waiting for a coffee refill,
I noticed that, at that time, we were not the only ones to have breakfast
and pull out my favourite macro lens…

Last one for me Daniel - compositionally, no competition from the shadows which the others seem to suffer... just my opinion ;)

Thanks Barry, the shadows in the first are from the back as
the flower is mostly lit from behind. The second is using less
its translucent feature and shows direct shadows.

I would absolutely adore the first if it wasn't for the 'bulby' looking shadow/shape to the right.

Don't bother, Barry, I won't tell it you don't like
the company she keeps in the morning! :D

As a beekeeper I have to say the second. You can see the whole bee on this one. Even its proboscis sucking up the nectar.
Nice lighting Daniel.

Great tones and feel to these images. Well done.
