The gloomiest March ever!

Well, after having the gloomiest March since record keeping began; i.e., the least number of hours of sunshine, it seems that spring has sprung overnight. We've actually had two sunny days out of the last three. Seemingly overnight the early cherry trees have sprung to full bloom and the ornamental plums are a stiff second. That's what happens when it rains pretty well all month and you don't ever look outside. We're apparently 3-4 weeks behind in terms of gardening. So, we went to the local garden centre where I indulged in my yearly "take photos of the flowers while I shop" with my wife and daughter. When we got home I walked up the street to take a few photos of the trees in bloom.

This has the freshness by which I spell "SPRING".
I dig the tasteful rendition of this delicious light. (y)

diagonal composition although dropping is always a winner to make the eye move about
slight comment...snip the latter part of that branch
the one at the top is enough..
the first flowers out are the ones that stand out the best
cheers
