Currently away in Dorset but struggling with this weather :(

Spent a bit of time looking through and editing some older overlooked photos and this one was the best of the bunch.

Always looking to try and find a different composition on well shot locations.

This is a pano shot very low to the ground to emphasise the path as a lead into the scene.

Like that, very nice, lovely soft tones and lighting. The lead in is excellent, using the path at first then the ridge itself.

Top drawer image.

Great picture. It is about sixty years since i have been up Mam Tor. There was not a path in those days! If my memory serves me correctly, are those the Ladybower Reservoirs in the distance?

Thanks John - it is actually mist in the Hope valley that you can see.

Ladybower is behind the hills in the next valley :)

Beautiful image. Takes me waaaay back.

That works very well, far better than that awful gate! You had nice conditions up there, it doesn’t work anywhere near as well without mist, though there are lots of shots to be had further along the Ridge that aren’t so reliant on that
