The highlight of today's garden visitors

I thought the cold weather might bring a few more birds to the garden but we were surprised to see these earlier this afternoon. They do visit but infrequently and usually in the early hours so it was good to see them during daylight even if they did eat some azalea and olearia.

Thanks. Not the best of shots. I'd like to blame the conditions - very dull, through a window and not that long before sunset, but its probably my technique.

As it is still cold and we have a bit more snow I hope they might be back again, though I doubt I get any better shots. A few years ago I tried to get some shots of the deer by going slowly and, I thought, quietly outside. It wasn't long before they spotted me and were off.
