The Inflight Thread

I was inspired by so many shots in this thread I thought I'd better give it a try. My god, I thought getting macro shots of static bugs was hard.

339 shots later I got this:

I useed my 55-250mm with a 36mm extension tube. Natural light (OMG!) so pumped up the ISO to 1600. Bit of a crop for compo.
That is brilliant Tim need to check that out on bigger screen but looks really good, I love this thread some smashing captures
 
Moth Inflight....

Now these things have beaten me 300 shots and this is the best... :( I'm putting them up as on of the hardest animals to capture in flight (gonna get proven wrong now I know)

Hi Martin

These are Emperors, not Southern Hawkers and the last one is Black Darter.

Great shots of the Emperor, which is a tricky because they never stop!
