I prefer the second because of the colour of the clear sky. I think if it was cloudy and textured the later one would be my preference...

Personally I like the colour balance in no 2 a little bit better. Perhaps I would have gone for a slightly tighter crop.

You won't see it on this res but on full res there's little points to the towers, you'd cut their reflection off hence the shorter than ideal f/l

I like both of these. I think it's difficult to choose between them - in fact if we didn't see them together I doubt there'd be any comment on the darkness or lightness of each of them. As it is, if I may say so, you've taken the obvious image (I mean that positively) in this situation. The brightly lit facade make for a perfect reflection so sensibly you've placed this centrally. And the beauty of the scene lies in seeing this in the context of its less well lit surroundings. Reflections of this sort are an incredibly popular theme, but always effective when the picture is well taken, as here.
