What a brilliant set every one of these made me smile, thanks!
As a few others have said I may just have to nick the idea to put a bit of fun back into my photography
Guys, we have had to remove/edit a few posts, as an image embedded here was from a site google considers dangerous and as a malware distributor. All cleaned up now and apologies if anyone lost a post while we tracked it down.
Thanks all for the latest comments. Was good to see Legography hit the headlines in the Mail and the Sun yesterday, along with my local rag and a radio interview.
As 365s go, I think I've managed to pick an easy one. Sure, there's my own pressure to complete it but it's stressfree and so easy to find a daily subject. Here's a couple more since the last update.
And the title for this one says it all. Dedicated to anyone who's ever missed a photographic moment with their camera- and I think that's probably all of us!
I'd love to tell you it was his smile but you can see that's not true. The desk staff were great about it, actually. A bit bemused at first but I showed them the Daily Mail feature on my iPad and they went for it. The little fella even made it onto the Focus news page & twitter feed!
Some excellent shots here, not sure why I hadn't come across this thread before! Love your use of light in some of those shots, especially the one shot into the sun.
This is amazing, and creating some beautiful imagery, I'd love to see some kind of exhibition or book at the end of this. Ironically for your subject matter, I wouldn't be afraid to think BIG.
Thanks all for the ongoing positive comments, will update thread with this month's pics v soon. Now up to 750 followers on FB! If you haven't joined in yet, click to http://www.facebook.com/legography/
As for the cameras, yep, loads on eBay or check the Lego specialist stores like "Minifigs and Bricks". There's even a Lego book on sale in Waterstones that has a camera as part of its offering.
So, April, and as it's a 365 I must be quarter of the way through. Here's a few from the last month, picked just 'cos.
Earlier in the thread you saw he'd been to Focus. Managed to pick up a waterproof housing Back home
I was shooting some rehearsal images for a production of The Wizard of Oz and realised how else I could use the scene in front of me Friend of Dorothy
When the pictures made the press in February it was a little disappointing to see the Mail describe Portsmouth as having a grey, shingle beach... Grey Shingle Beach
The little guy gets fan mail to his facebook page (800+ followers and counting)! Someone asked for a birthday pic- had no reason to refuse. Party Time
Had to throw a little light onto the little fella here to separate him from the houses in shadow. Simple spill of torchlight did the trick- great thing about the iPhone screen is you see exactly what you're going to get. Making the most of it
Thanks for looking. Here's to the next month's worth of updates.
