Beginner The Mighty Redcar

You might have seen our local seaside town on BBC2 Thursday nights. A mini series portraying the struggles of todays youth trying to break out of the town and make something of their lives, after the steel works was closed a few years ago. I feel its much prettier than the TV makes out....

I used to live a short car journey away and remember going as a young teenager to the skate park (r-kade?)

Visited Redcar for the one-off 'International Blues Festival' they had in 1991 and remembered the people up there as being very friendly and helpful, but you've got to do something about the weather! The wind comes straight in off the sea, we had to wedge the hotel glass double entrance doors shut with a chair at one point!

Could pick a few holes in them if feeling mean (unlevel horizons....) but on the whole they are very nice.
