The Picture Framer

I rarely take pictures of people, which is something I'd like to address. This fellow runs a framing business and a second hand bookshop. To get into the bookshop you have to go through his framing room. When I saw all the wood and the single window I thought it would make a great picture so I asked him if he would oblige and he was more than happy.

I only had the tiny Lumix GM1 with me as I wasn't on a photo trip, just a ride into town. But more and more I'm growing to like micro four thirds.

Anyway. comments and critique would be welcome.

Both lovely expressive images that make you feel like you could be standing there too. I prefer the processing on the first, with the highlights of the second looking a bit too dull for my taste.

I prefer the first because the second is a bit too flat but even so the skin (face and less so hands) on #1 feels a touch darker than I would expect it to be. Give him the first to keep and go back and photograph him framing it ... this can run on
