The SELECTIVE COLOUR (oh no!) thread

This is a bit of a cheat, I used the Cameras built in selective colour filter

So, seeing this thread gave me a bit of inspiration......

I knew there was something else I could do with this shot. I think it needs a bit more contrast in the B&W though....

... just discovered this thread, some fantastic stuff here (y)

thought I might add a Selective B&W I did yesterday:

Nice try. But for me on here looking like the edges are a bit blurry on black and white. Would have liked to have seen crisp edges on the black and white / colour punch. Definitely a different view with the reversed colour punch :)

Just stumbled across this thread and well, why the hell not!

Just messing about with my daughter and the camera when we were both bored one day. First thing that lept out at me once i got the photo on to the computer was the blue of her eye so worked around that.

Here's a couple:

I think whenever I've done this (and these are the only few that I think I've ever kept) it's been to try and rescue an otherwise dull photo after the fact. Clearly the pones that work best on this thread (IMHOOC) are those that look like they were conceived and composed with this technique in mind.

The NYC ones, I just used LR to desaturate all other colours, bar the one I wanted. Wheras the Ladybird version I cut out in Photoshop and did that way.

From NYC earlier this year. The missing patches weren't me missing bits, the paint had come off.

SC really boosted these shots, there was OTT BG colour.
