Critique The United Colours of Autum

The concept - a soft, impressionistic woodland - is fine; the top two-thirds I really like. For me, however, the whole photo has to be sharp for this approach to work well and the out of focus bracken in the foreground spoils it. Even just darkening the light frond at central bottom would help.

Not a criticism as such but from your title I was expecting to see vibrant colours of which autumn is synonymous with.

This. It looks pretty much unprocessed and shot with a very flat profile. Give it more contrast and let colour pop.

What bothers me is the OOF bracken in the f/g

On this I'm either all in or out, not somewhere in between.
