Thinking about getting some prints

Yes
I have about 4-6 wildlife images, and a couple of landscapes that I want to get printed.

Many years ago I did have a wildlife image printed onto a 16x12 canvas, and I want the wildlife shots to be of a similar size. I also have a couple of panoramic landscapes, one which an odd format (19:10), which I actually want to have printed about 36 inches wide.

It's been a long time since I had any of my work printed, other than some basic printing I did at home. What do I need to do to the files to make sure they get the best results, and what file format do they need to be?

Publish in jpg format, at 250+ ppi, RGB 1998, and
the final size you want. See if you can export in a
PDF file format as it has the colour scale into it.

Something like…
You will not need the printer's mark but it may help
get the right tonal density and colours
