Tic-tac-toe

Unfortunately we call it noughts and crosses in English English, tic tac toe being American :D but maybe it has a better ring as a title.

Thank you. It's a new fact for me. In Russian we call it "krestiki-noliki", which meand "crosses and toes".
That’s interesting that both the US and Russian version contains ’toe’. Maybe Yiddish is involved as with a lot of US words/usage. On the other hand we often find that US English is using an older form that went with the colonists but has changed here, a topical example would be ‘Fall’ for ‘Autumn’ but there are many others. I think we should steal “krestiki-noliki”, sounds more interesting than the mundane “noughts and crosses”, maybe Anglicicise the spelling to crestynolicky so no one knows we‘ve done it ;).
