Tips on light please

Hi all do these pics work? i exposed for the whites then knocked the blacks down in pp. Any tips please. Thanks in advance rich.

They work pretty good. The only adverse thing is the swan's beak. If it is an English swan - a mute swan - its beak should be red not yellow. Changing that will affect the white of the feathers but swans are not pure white.
