And the Artists Statement
My work explores the relationship between the universality of myth and UFO sightings. With influences as diverse as Derrida and Francis Bacon, new synergies are manufactured from both constructed and discovered narratives.
Ever since I was a postgraduate I have been fascinated by the unrelenting divergence of meaning. What starts out as triumph soon becomes finessed into a manifesto of distress, leaving only a sense of what could have been and the inevitability of a new understanding.
As temporal forms become frozen through frantic and diverse practice, the viewer is left with an insight into the inaccuracies of our condition.
