It was awkward - stood on a small leaf at head height 32 feet inside the bush!

Cheer Graham - the iridescence shows up only under the flash...

Yes, this (like the vast majority of my finds) was in the little back garden. ;)

Thought i'd compliment your female with a male,, i think anyway. Did't even realise what it was until i looked at the snaps and i left it uncropped to give an idea of size on this thistle.
