I just managed to catch this! I thought it was a mouse at first!

are they a common bird?

I know its a rubbish photo it was way to fast for me!

Treecreepers are fairly common up here Carol, just difficult to catch at times.

Not too common my way, I've only seen one recently. As it was on the trunk hidden by the other branches and leaves it was a job to get a decent photo. So well done

We have a few around here but I have never managed to get near enough to get a picture yet - nice to see it is possible and that we will both have to try harder to get that really sharp shot

They are hard to see, let alone capture!...incredibly quiet, very small and funnily enough...tree coloured

thanks, purpleclouds, Kerioak and toonamp I saw this one and then whilst in the whinlatter forest another one! my husband spotted it. Flipping heck they are so fast though.
I have looked them up and they like the fir trees so i may go back to forest, now i know what im looking for

Yep, very fast, camouflaged and twitchy. Never seen one, just in a behaviour guide DVD

Yep super fast little guys, then when you get close enough they decide to go investigate the tree over yonder :razz:
