Trees in the mist

All taken with my Canon Sure Shot Telemax 35mm compact on Agfa Vista Plus 200. I converted these to B&W and then had a bit of a play with them in Lightroom. I like the final result an think the grainy results suit the subject matter, but I'm not sure if I've maybe gone too far with the grads and vignettes...

These are great, I particularly like the last, the vignettes may be a bit too obvious in the first two, the effect is softer in the last.

Thanks both. I agree that the vignettes are pretty blatant, and it's not something I'd normally do - I don't mind a bit of vignetting, but I usually keep it quite subtle - but in this case I liked how it looked and went with my gut. I reserve the right to hate them in a few weeks time though.

I like a bit of vignetting, especially when a large part of the photo is uniform (the mist/fog).

Keep meaning to buy Michael Kenna's Holga book which has (enforced) vignetting over his usual style in spades

I’ve don’t have any of Kenna’s books, but I like his work. I’m holding of buying more photo books for now as I have a backlog of at least 10 still to read (plus another few coming at Christmas!j.
