B&W Trees on a hill

I shot this in Devon at the weekend not far from Cornworthy.

The clouds look a little 'processed' and detract from the trees and interesting texture on the land.

This is one instance where a clear sky would work better I think.

This is the colour version it was based on. The light was fading and I didn't have a tripod so there is a far amount of recovery going on.

it has the same compositional feel and with the blue sky a bit more cheery feel of being outdoors
the subdued tonality of the grass helps the sky
overall its got its own statement to make and it works for me
itching fingers tell me do an edit
and i say ...to what end?
