Trip to RAF Lakenheath

We have been here a week camping and the weather has done its very best to stop us leaving the campsite, on the odd occasion it has let up we have shot over to the airbase, here's a few.

What viewing points did you use and what size lens please?

I was using the Tamron 70-300vc for these shots and viewing from the heath/woodland area just off the main road before the traffic lights on the main road, the viewing area is ok but when any aircraft are coming in or taking off at that end you are shooting into the sun, you can park in the viewing area and walk around but its quite a walk of about 30 mins.

1/400 F8 which is really too fast, 1/125 and f14 is what I normally use but the sun was very strong so upped the speed so it didn't blow
