Guys, why just say nice shot, lovely shot. Why, explain what you like...
For me it's nicely exposed for the plane, there's detail in the shadows which would be easily lost. It's position in the frame is good, flying into the frame and you've been lucky with it's attitude as the angle exposes a lot of its underside detail.
There's some glare on the cockpit, do you use a polariser? That might have bought a little detail to the pilot, possibly brought the sky up slightly?

byker28i, no i don't generally use a polarising filter. I usually only use them when shooting cars o remove the glare from windscreen/paintwork. May give it ago on the planes next time
