I got one of the new £1 coins in my change and thought I would have a play on my macro rig. Only difference in set up is a few mm in the lighting unit

The first lack a bit of sharpness on the outer bit of the coin and i think you should have play with your lighting to manage to get either the 1 or the £ of the hologram at the bottom. It's a cool feature and a shame you didn't catch it!
Not a bad attempt but when you look at coins with a macro lens you can see all the imperfections, and even an almost new coin is already full of marks. I've been looking at these new one and i don't know if they will withstand well long period of use because they seems to mark specially quickly!
