That's good thinking as long as tourists
don't get the idea of levitating!

It is clear to see that your take has a lot
of mid-tones but not blacks nor whites…
I took your take to my converter to confirm
and I can recognize that the DRL was not
set as it reads 11/239!

I recommend to always start with pulling out the best of the recorded
data in the RAW file: DRL and WB.

I understand that but the tones are the tones and the Sun will only
extend the DR and not create it (unless the scene was in total darkness ).

instructions on how to use

DRL = Dynamic Range Levels = black and white points setting. The histogram
will show you the spread of the recorded dynamic range in the 0/255 to 255/255
scale. As I said, the shot read 011/255 to 239/255. So, the empty space at the top
and bottom translate to a "no data" grey cast over the picture. Set the DRL left tail
at 011/255 and the head at 239/255 and observe the changes. The following image
reflects just that. It is still a grey building on a grey day but…
