Hi all,
ok, this is a poor capture in your wildlife terms but as a Sports photographer I was lucky to see what has, due to the lack of fans, become a resident Kestrel @ Oakwell stadium in Barnsley!

Les, its a fairly easy one to ID. We can rule out Sparrowhawk , Merlin and its not a Hobby as they haven't returned yet, that only leaves Peregrine and Kes as the more common UK birds.

If you look at the 2nd photo, the body isn't as bulky and the tail feathers are longer than in Peregrine, leaving only Kestrel (y)
