    Way too dark other than that good images. There is no point trying to preserve the colour in the lights. Just let them go white or bracket. It is far worse to have the rest of the image really dark; printing would be very very tough.

    One needs a crop to remove the moon (or just clone it out) and a chunk of that sky unless you are going to sell it on as the negative space is good for copy text. For personal use a 2:1 would print well. One would work well with a slight exposure increase, half a stop or so I would say. It might be a resizing thing but there's a hell of a lot of banding in the first.

    The second one the detail is there and its a good strong composition but I could feel more for it had the water been still and there been a reflection - you can get them in the smaller canals of Venice and they can be very good indeed,
