Captive Village Weaver (Ploceus cucullatus)

No it's not. It's under exposed, out of focus and the position of the bird's head really spoils the shot as well. There's also distracting oof bits in front of the subject on the right side of the frame as well.

With this being a captive bird, I'm sure you could have captured the subject in a better position ie with it's head in view. A slightly slower shutter speed or larger aperture would have helped expose it a bit better too as it's a tad dark. I wondered if it was shot through glass which might explain the softness, if not attention needs to be paid to the focus. Captive birds are great to practice on so I'd suggest returning and playing about with your settings and positions of the subject and I'm sure you'll manage to produce more appealing images. Keep at it.;)
