Tropidolaemus wagleri. This is a juvenile male. On average I spend about a month each year in the bio-diverse tropical rainforest. This was taken during a trip focusing on herptiles last year. We worked exclusively at night when these animals are at their most active. Posting this one here as it was taken with an 18-35mm wide-angle, not macro. This is uncropped. To fill the frame, one has to get real close. When working with these highly venomous species, it's essential that protective gear is employed. Understanding the behaviour and body language of the subject is equally important.
