Some 600 guests were there recently for a conference
and I was assigned to cover the event. I was back there
to retrieve the used lighting equipment that was left in a
safe place.

The white part, the medieval fortress from the 13th c.,
shelters the owner and her family. The other part, much
more recent, is planned as hotel and convention centre
with interior court and atrium.

I got the gear in the truck and decided not to wait for it!

Powerful and impactful rendition

Thank you, Steve!

The roars were just getting too close too fast
so I left as if I was stealing my own gear! :wacky:

I am glad to see that I am not the only one to
advocate the use of the word RENDITION!

I love the shot and the processing, it has made me spend a long time looking at this image, which has to be a good thing.

My only feeling, is, was it possible to get to the right slightly, lose some of the wall before the window and isolate the turret against the sky from the tree on the left? Probably not!

Thanks, Craig… but not really. I know there's a long
wall to the window but I absolutely wanted to preserve
the portal and, with the getting more turret, would have
lost some dramatic sky. This is a FF so no chance to
get more.

Great processing I love the contrasting darks and lights. Very nice indeed.

Thank you.

I was happy to see the diffused Sun lighting
the scene under the clouds and the strange
glow it had was the trigger to the capture.

I like that, tonal range is excellent.
